Program Reinsurance Analyst

Summary

MS Transverse is looking for a dynamic and engaging Program Reinsurance Analyst who is looking for an opportunity to join an industry-leading Property and Casualty insurance carrier focused on partnering with Reinsurers, MGAs/Program Administrators, and Insurtechs.

We provide access to commercial and personal lines utilizing our admitted and non-admitted capabilities across all 50 states. You would join a deeply experienced and broadly talented operating team where your experience and drive will become instrumental in further growing our business.

Responsibilities 

  • Support the Reinsurance team and the Head of Reinsurance by providing appropriate analysis & recommendations as regards data, internal and industry, to assist in decision making
  • Prepare the results of analysis & studies for presentation by team members and the Head of Reinsurance to internal and external parties
  • Prepare and provide support in creating meeting background & preparation materials including data & information obtained from internal and external sources
  • Communication and collaboration with the Reinsurance team, and the Head of Reinsurance
  • Communication and collaboration with Business Development, Underwriting, Finance, Operations and Claims as requested by the reinsurance team and Head of Reinsurance
  • Proficiency in CRM systems i.e. Salesforce including managing, updating, and analyzing our data/information in Salesforce
  • Develop familiarity with and use the appropriate MST and external systems for documentation, filing & storage of information
  • Ensure reinsurance documentation is finalized and stored properly, within the appropriate MST systems while also ensuring team members do the same
  • Provide support for Reinsurance team members as they handle assigned clients and prospective client’s reinsurance needs
  • Assist in other projects and perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications 

  • 4-7 years of relevant experience in an insurance/reinsurance company in reinsurance placements, terms & conditions, including statutory and reinsurance accounting implications
  • Above average knowledge of reinsurance including underwriting claims, accounting, finance and associated process, controls, and systems
  • Experience in the structural design/implementation of reinsurance programs a plus
  • Strong technical skills in Excel
  • Organized, clear, and effective communication skills
  • Analytical, decision making, problem resolution and organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree (finance, accounting, or risk management major preferred)
  • ARe/CPCU or advanced degree a plus
