AVP, Head of Financial Systems
As a Head of Financial Systems, the candidate will lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of an organization’s financial software systems, ensuring they support financial reporting and operational needs, while also collaborating with other departments.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the long-term strategy for financial systems, aligning with business goals.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for accounting and finance systems.
- Lead the design, resource management, implementation, and support of finance system solutions.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and administration of the organization’s financial systems.
- Maintain and support the financial systems (i.e., Workday, Sapiens Reinsurance Pro and Adaptive), ensuring smooth operation and addressing issues.
- Manage updates, enhancements, integrations, and testing of the systems.
- Ensure the infrastructure and application landscape are aligned with business strategy.
- Monitor project results and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial systems issues.
- Partner with internal audit and compliance teams to ensure adherence with regulatory requirements.
- Identify and implement best practices for financial systems.
- Create processes and procedures to ensure best practices are used throughout the organization.
- Streamline the use of financial data within the enterprise.
- Assess risks or changes affecting the systems and determine appropriate action plans.
- Ensure the integrity, security, and compliance of financial data across all accounting and finance platforms.
- Develop strategies for analyzing metrics and reporting on financial systems performance.
- Oversee solution testing, training, and communication.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Experience in financial systems administration, ERP implementations, and process automation.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
